Memorial Day weekend is the official start of summer here in the DFW area. Water parks, amusement parks, and summer camps all over the southwest are kicking it into high gear just in time for the end of the school year.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

Bahama Beach Waterpark

Dallas, TX

Bahama Beach Waterpark is a great place to cool off this summer. Conveniently located just 10 minutes south of downtown Dallas, the water park has everything from 45-foot tall slides for the young and the young at heart to an interactive water playground with a 1,000-gallon dumping bucket.

You can also kick back and relax, grab a tube, wade into one of two zero-depth entry beaches, or float down the lazy river. Bahama Beach has plenty of shaded areas, and private cabanas, along with food and beverages to satisfy all of your summertime cravings tops it all off.

The Lagoon

New ‘Lagoon’ waterpark opening in North Texas during Memorial Day weekend – WFAA

Get ready to splash down at Cedar Hill’s newest coolest pool, The Lagoon. Located in Virgina Weaver Park, The Lagoon has more than 77,000 gallons of water to splash around. It also has a zero-depth entry pool, a separate lap swim pool, a lazy river, a three-turn slide, and play features. 

Saturday, May 27, 2023, is Grand Opening Day; complimentary open swim will be available. (capacity limits apply)

Daily passes: General admission: $8.00 –  Age 3+, $5 – Age 55+ Advanced daily admission tickets are now available online for select dates, currently through June 11. Season Passes are also available ONLINE.  ​​
