
As summer approaches, the Dallas – Fort Worth area is filled with exciting and fun things to do. West Dallas Multipurpose Center Block Party!

Food-Music-Fun-Prizes-Resource Fair! Enjoy music from a DJ, dancing by the Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, learn about placemaking furniture, and getting connected to local resources. A workshop will also be from 9:00 am – Noon before the Block Party. You’ll learn to build place-making furniture and paint a mural.

Watch, learn, and get your hands dirty while you learn how to help your garden grow. The Texas Discovery Gardens Public Workshops are FREE to the public. Workshops will be held in vegetable gardens on the front lawn. No admission is required!

PILOBOLUS IN THE GARDEN
May 23 – 26 at the Nasher Sculpture Garden in the Dallas Arts District
PILOBOLUS is the eclectic dance troupe known for their athleticism and strength, flexibility, and the physical interaction between the bodies of the dancer’s contortions of the human form. They will perform a very special TITAS-commissioned project created especially for Dallas’ Nasher Sculpture Garden. Tickets are available for this outdoor event.

The Last HUZZAH at Scarborough Faire
MAY 27- 29 – Memorial Day weekend
Celebrate the final weekend of Scarborough Faire. The grand celebration over the three-day Memorial Day Weekend will be filled with music, merriment, food, and fun! Don’t miss the MEMORIAL DAY VETERANS PARADE AND FALLEN HEROES TRIBUTE on Monday, May 29. All active and retired military members can receive a yellow sash to commemorate their service at the Village Armoury and are invited to march in the 1:00 pm Grand Parade.
