What do heart-stopping rides on a 3D virtual snowboard, blood splatters and random footprints, movie director James Cameron’s submarine plunge to the bottom of the ocean, storm chasers, zombies and the band Le Cure have in common? They’re all part of the jam-packed 2014-2015 season – the second full year of offerings – at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas.

2theXtreme: MathAlive!

Designed to be one of the most interactive and inspiring exhibitions exploring the world of mathematics ever to tour, 2theXtreme: MathAlive! promises to spark imagination and reveal not only math at work, but the endless possibilities of math.

The exhibition, which has drawn huge crowds across the U.S., brings to life the real math behind what kids love most – video games, sports, fashion, music, robotics and more. Through nearly 40 unique, interactive experiences, the bilingual exhibition takes math from its native form into the applied worlds of design, engineering, technology and science.

The exhibition is presented nationally by RaytheonThe local presenting sponsors of 2theXtreme: MathAlive! are The Episcopal School of Dallas and St. Philip’s School and Community Center. The local supporting sponsor is Texas Instruments
