Rathbun’s Blue Plate Special Continues to Enhance Its Menu By Introducing Heart-Healthy Lunch Items and $10 Menu Choices.

Come to Kent Rathbun’s Blue Plate Special and  taste the heart-healthy items that provide exceptional taste along with healthy benefits.

With the use of simple ingredients, Chef Kent Rathbun has created heart-healthy menu items including, Grilled Chicken Breast with Portobello Mushrooms, Ricotta, Rosemary Olive Oil and Mache Salad; Salmon Burger; Heirloom Tomato Dallas Mozzarella Salad with Avocado Green Goddess Dressing; Tassione Farm Field Green Salad with Roasted Lemon-Sherry Vinaigrette; Grilled Chicken Breast with California Avocado, Paula’s Cottage Cheese and Avocado Yogurt; and Shrimp, Crab and Lobster “Coleslaw” with Cilantro-Lime Dressing. All heart-healthy menu items are designated by a red heart.

Kent Rathbun’s Blue Plate Special has also added new $10 menu items on their lunch menu. Enjoy Carr Valley Mammoth Cheddar Grilled Cheese, Chef’s Choice Taco Plate of the Day, Salmon Burger and Grilled Flatbread and Hummus with Feta Cheese. Don’t miss the  all day barbecue at Blue Plate Special: Lunch is $11.99 and Dinner is $13.99. Featuring three different choices of smoked meats prepared with one of Kent’s signature blend of flavors from the Kent Rathbun Elements line of products (Ancho Chili Barbecue Sauce and Rathbun’s Family Rub). You  can choose a meat or combination platter served with choice of one side item, homemade bread and butter pickles, cornbread sticks and Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen’s specialty jams.

Our Dallas/Ft. Worth Catering is run by Catering Manager Terry Kranz. Terry started as a server at Abacus in 2001 and worked his way through the ranks with his hard work, dedication and attention to detail. His excitement about our product and service makes him the number one pick for our guests’ satisfaction.

Terry will personally work with you to design a menu that will work perfectly for your group. He will coordinate all of the rentals, service staff, and beverages. Besides your home, Terry has secured many locations where we can cater your event. These include the Dallas Arboretum, The Women’s Museum, Frontiers of Flight Museum, FIG, Trinity River Audonbon Center, Hickory Street Annex, The Goss-Michael Foundation, The Apartment and The Filter Building.
