February in Dallas: Football, Fashion and Flowers

Super Bowl XLV

This February, the Dallas-Fort Worth area will be buzzing with Football, Fashion and Flowers. With all the visitors coming to town for  Super Bowl XLV at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, we are enjoying the influx of celebrities and athletes for super-sized Super Bowl Parties.

P. Diddy, Pamela Anderson, Gene Simmons and Kid Rock are just of few of the celebrities who are hosting Super Bowl parties and events.

Take a look at this list of  Super Bowl XLV events in the days preceding the big game:

FIG Finale Sale

The  Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG), the boutique Downtown wholesale venue showcasing the best in women’s contemporary and bridge sportswear and accessories as well as better men’s, within a high-design, hospitality-driven environment in the Dallas Arts District.

The FIG finale is a spectacular sale during which the area’s top stores come together at FIG and sell their women’s, men’s and kid’s clothing, accessories and shoes to the public at up to 75 percent discount. It is a shopper’s paradise, with numerous great retailers offering their designer merchandise at unbeatable prices. It is a fashionista’s delight!

Say it With Flowers on Valentine’s Day

With all this talk about football, it is not hard to forget that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner on February 14th. It is not too early to make arrangements for Valentine’s Day floral deliveries.

I love Dr. Delphinium’s on Lover’s Lane in Dallas. Their floral arrangements are always beautiful and unique. Like this arrangement of roses: Red Hots, their version of a modern rose bowl, with 12 premium red roses and brightly colored trachelium stems presented in a clear glass cube lined with a tropical leaf. What a way to say ‘I Love You’!

The Super Bowl of Fashion Comes to Dallas

Just two days before Super Bowl XLV comes to a roar at Cowboys Stadium, Off The Field, the NFL Players’ Wives Association — will hold its 10th Annual Awards Banquet and Fashion Show benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Event chairs Sherice Brown (wife of Heisman Trophy recipient, Tim Brown) and Romonda Jordan (wife of former Raider Team Captain, Randy Jordan) will be seen on the catwalk in addition to Janet Dorsett (wife of Tony Dorsett), Michelle Witten (wife of Dallas Cowboys’ Jason Witten) and many more.
