Celebrate Independence with Live Music at the Dallas Arboretum

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden kicks off Independence Day with live music, $2 hot dogs and root beer floats, and more!

You and your family can enjoy patriotic classics, contemporary and jazz musical surprises. Free beer samples from Old Town Brewhouse will be handed out from noon to 3 p.m. at A Tasteful Place.

Active and retired members of the military and first responders with a valid photo I.D. will receive free general garden admission on June 29, June 30, July 4, July 6 and July 7.

1^st Cavalry Division Band from Fort Hood takes the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn on June 29 for a patriotic performance from 2-4 p.m., and enjoy free beer samples from Franconia Brewing Company at A Tasteful Place. Winner of the Excellence for Military Concert Bands, the 36th Infantry Division Band, performs June 30 from noon to 2 p.m. on the Martin Rutchik Concert stage and Lawn.

Fourth of July Weekend, June 29- July 7

Start your holiday celebration off with a booming craft, catch story time with the nation’s bird, Eddie the Eagle, burst with knowledge at the July 4^th Plant Lab, and then walk over to visit the patriotic OmniGlobe presentation. The garden is celebrating all week long.

1^st Cavalry Division Band:Enjoy a patriotic performance by soldiers from Fort Hood while picnicking, free with paid garden admission.

Franconia Brewing Company, Noon-3 p.m., A Tasteful Place: Enjoy complimentary beer samples at the Three Sisters Lagoon Overlook.

Sunday, June 30, Noon -2 p.m.

36th Infantry Division Band: Winner of the Excellence for Military Concert Bands, the 36th Infantry Division Band performs on the concert stage. FREE with paid garden admission.

Cherry Pie Demonstration by Emporium Pies, 11 a.m.-Noon

Emporium Pies demonstrates how to make their signature cherry pie from scratch. Learn tips on how to make a traditional flaky pie crust, a delicious cherry filling and a beautiful lattice top. Guests can purchase pie until 2 p.m. FREE with paid garden admission.

Window to the Wild Show

On July 4, Window to the Wild bird show returns at 10:30 a.m., followed by Rushmore Band performing from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn. You can enjoy free beer samples from 3 Nations Brewery from noon to 3 p.m. at A Tasteful Place. Bring a picnic to the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn on July 6 to enjoy a performance by Moving Colors, a top party band in Dallas, from 2-4 p.m. On July 7, recording artists from Houston, The Powell Brothers, take the stage from 2-4 p.m.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is located at 8525 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas 75218.  The Arboretum is open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. General admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 65 and older, $10 for children 2-12 and free for Arboretum members and children under 2.
