One of the best ways to stay cool during a hot Texas summer is to spend the day a water park. The Dallas/Fort Worth area has a nice variety of water parks for you and your family to enjoy. From Hurricane Harbor to Hawaiian Falls, you can get ‘wet & wild‘ in DFW.

This year Hurricane Harbor has lots of ways to stay this summer. The 47 acre water park has interactive family adventures like Hook’s Lagoon and the Sea Wolf. You can on Surf Rider,  the “zero gravity” slide, or the Dive Bomber, a 5-story free fall experience that will take your breath away!

Don’t miss the latest  Wahoo Racer, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor’s exciting new 6-lane water slide.  Wahoo Racer’s unique design allows riders to enjoy two different adrenaline-charged experiences on one massive structure.

Wahoo Racer is nearly 60 feet tall. The two-tier mat racer sends you, head first, down an exhilarating,  ride through colorful enclosed tubes before shooting you out into multi-styled racing lanes,  zooming down at speeds of up to 40 feet per second on aero-dynamically designed water toboggans for the final stretch. Thrill seekers will want to race again and again for their chance to be crowned Wahoo Racer champion.

Hawaiian Falls Summer Camps


Hawaiian Falls offers several Splash Camps:

  • Camp H20
  • Junior Lifeguard Camp
  • Leader in Training Program

The five-day camps will take place 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 9 – August 11 (except the week of June 30) at all five Dallas-Fort Worth locations. Early drop off at 8 a.m. and late pick up at 5:30 p.m. are also available. Kids will enjoy weeklong camps full of activities, character building lessons and summer fun.

Each camper receives a 2014 “My Island” season pass good for unlimited access to their local waterpark, daily lunch for the weeklong camp, plus a Hawaiian Falls Camp T-shirt. Class sizes are limited and registration is on a first come – first served basis.
