Famous Faces Take the Field for Dirk Nowitzki’s 2013 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game

See Dirk and other top athletes take to the diamond at Dirk Nowitzki’s 2013 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco.

Joining Dirk will be Dallas Mavericks Vince Carter and owner Mark Cuban, Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant and Brandon Carr, former Dallas Mavs Jason Terry, J.J. Barea, Brian Cardinal, Michael Finley, Devin Harris, Eduardo Najera and Nick Van Exel, former Dallas Cowboys Drew Pearson and Terrell Owens, actor Geoff Stults and more. Goose Gossage (MLB Hall of Fame pitcher and nine-time All-Star) and David Justice (former MLB outfielder and three-time All-Star) will be the team managers.

Dallas Mavs Dirk Nowitzki, Vince Carter and owner Mark Cuban, Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant and Brandon Carr, former Dallas Cowboys Drew Pearson and Terrell Owens, and other celebs team up with managers Goose Gossage and David Justice to benefit the children’s charities of the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and Heroes Foundation Tickets are $8 – $17 with proceeds benefiting the children’s charities of the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and the Heroes Foundation.

Witness famous faces swing, slide, steal and score at Dirk Nowitzki’s 2013 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game presented by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco (7300 RoughRider Trail). In addition to NBA champ Dirk, famous faces will include Dallas Mavericks Vince Carter and owner Mark Cuban, Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant and Brandon Carr, former Dallas Mavs Jason Terry, J.J. Gates to the Dr Pepper Ballpark will open at 4:30 p.m. The first pitch of the Heroes Special Olympics All-Star Softball Game will be thrown at 4:45 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m., the Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game will get underway as the Blue Sox and White Sox baseball teams, each made up of celebrity players and amateurs, will play “hard-charging, umpires-umpping, base-stealing, home run-hitting, nine-inning, authentic BASEBALL!” Artist/songwriter Britney Holmes will sing the National Anthem. Between-inning stunts, interactive activities, hilarity and other crowd pleasers will keep game goers of all ages entertained. In addition, a 10-minute fireworks finale sponsored by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco will follow the game.

Tickets are $8, $10, $14 and $17 and are on sale at Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000 or ticketmaster.com) or at the Dr Pepper Ballpark Box Office during office hours. Will call will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29.  Tickets also will be available at the door.

Parking for the general public will be available at Lots A, B and E.
