Next Fall

April 13-May 6, 2012

By Geoffrey Nauffts
Directed by Kevin Moriarty
Kalita Humphreys Theater

How do you profoundly love someone you profoudly disagree with? Next Fall is the story of Adam and Luke, a most unlikely couple. Luke’s a devout Christian; Adam’s a fervent atheist. When an accident changes everything, Adam must turn to Luke’s conservative family and friends for support… and a search for answers.

The New York Times says this 2010 Broadway hit and Tony Award-nominee for Best Play, “embodies something theatergoers have been sorely missing, perhaps without knowing it, for years.” A smart, sensitive, immensely appealing and utterly contemporary comedy. Contains adult themes and strong language.

God of Carnage

May 11-June 17, 2012

By Yasmina Reza
Translated by Christopher Hampton
Directed by Joel Ferrell
Kalita Humphreys Theater

Two 11-year-old boys get into a fight on the playground, and some very bad behavior ensues… by their parents. When two supposedly civilized, supposedly adult middle-class couples meet to discuss their sons’ little dust-up, they raise smugness, pettiness, and meanness to heady new heights of hilarity, You’ll have endless fun repeating their deliciously snarky remarks.

After its sold-out run on Broadway, this Tony Award-winning comedy makes its regional debut at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Contains adult themes and strong language.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

June 22-August 12, 2012

Lyrics by Tim Rice ? Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber

Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre

For two generations, this joyful, family-friendly musical has been giving audiences a new appreciation of the Old Testament story of Joseph, the boy dreamer. Sold into slavery by his brothers, he became the ruler of Egypt. In DTC’s tuneful telling of this ancient story, practically every line is sung by the actors and a kids’ chorus, in styles from rock to western to a1920s Charleston.
